2:00-5:00pm

Dovercourt House,

Let’s dive into the Big apple Dance!

My first of many solo jazz series to come. In this first iteration, I’m interested in digging into the infamous Big Apple jazz dance. We’ll look at its origins, historical and cultural significance, and the ever-popular choreography by legendary dancer and choreographer, Frankie Manning.

Who is this Workshop For?

This particular workshop is for all levels. Those who are just starting their journey in jazz dance will have the chance to be introduced to this rich language of movement. Folks who are familiar with the form have an opportunity to continue refining their practice while being in community. Through dance and dialogue, we’ll take a further look at the components of this popular group jazz dance.
